What Guests Are Saying
Camp Dick is praised for its cleanliness, friendly hosts, and beautiful, well-spaced campsites. Visitors enjoyed the excellent hiking and fishing opportunities, with sightings of wildlife like moose enhancing the experience. However, some noted issues with rough access roads, noise from ATVs, and inconsistent water availability, which could detract from the overall enjoyment.

There was no water available in camp, for a 10 day stay this made it difficult to be able to shower etc.

Love the peace and quiet, and the wildlife that roams through the campground. Close enough to Estes Park and Blackhawk.

We have camped at this Camp Dick for thirty years so are very familiar with it, we try to go at least once a year. However, we were there 3 days, 2 nights and I do not think the restrooms were ever cleaned and in fact they were out of toilet paper on the last morning. That is not acceptable.

First of all the water system was broken. So no water available. There was a sign posted that said we would get reimbursed 25% because of the water systems were not working. I have yet to see a refund! Lastly the camp post did not understand when someone cancels their reservation, it becomes first come first serve. He was unwilling to let me occupy the site after I showed him recreation.gov screenshots that the site was first come first serve because someone canceled it. I had to wait 24 hours for a no-show, then someone else occupied it before the 24 hours. The camp host, Don needs to be educated on when someone cancels a site becomes first come first serve and a camper doesn’t have to wait 24 hours to occupy the site. Lastly, quiet hours are 6 AM to 10 PM and someone was running their generator up through 11 PM. Disappointing experience all the way around!
