What Guests Are Saying

Camp Dick is praised for its cleanliness, friendly hosts, and beautiful, well-spaced campsites. Visitors enjoyed the excellent hiking and fishing opportunities, with sightings of wildlife like moose enhancing the experience. However, some noted issues with rough access roads, noise from ATVs, and inconsistent water availability, which could detract from the overall enjoyment.

THERE WAS NO WATER AVAILABLE. fORREST SERVICE HAD TURNED OFF ALL THE HYDRANTS THE DAY BEFORE MY ARRIVAL AT CAMP DICK.
WE SHOULD GET PARTIAL REFUND.
Our camp host Mr. Bob Burt, was attentive, helpful, supportive, and understanding.

The first day was excellent - a little drizzle, but nothing major. The facilities are excellently kept, the campground is clean, and there are neat little tent hooks in the wood surrounding the tent pad. They make it super easier to tie down the tent! The 2nd day a snow-storm rolled in so we had to leave early, but we're looking forward to staying there earlier in the season next year! We stayed weekend of Oct. 8th and would suggest making arrangements for earlier in the season for this particular site.

It would have been nice to be sent an update on the water being shutoff. The web page didn't mention it and recreation.gov did not let us know. Just inconvenient.

Hiking was great and trees were beautiful.

Got very windy so might want to bring some extra tie downs. It’s a very relaxing place
