What Guests Are Saying
Camp Dick is praised for its cleanliness, friendly hosts, and beautiful, well-spaced campsites. Visitors enjoyed the excellent hiking and fishing opportunities, with sightings of wildlife like moose enhancing the experience. However, some noted issues with rough access roads, noise from ATVs, and inconsistent water availability, which could detract from the overall enjoyment.

Site 30 is one of my favorite campsites of anywhere in Colo. Scenery late September was spectacular

Be sure to look up the location ahead of time. It can be tricky to find after dark. There was also no map on-site and no cell phone reception (at least for me), so take a screenshot of the campground before you get there to navigate. It was great to have running water available, although some of the water spigots didn't work. Nice latrines and well maintained campsites. There were definitely Moose in the area (I heard them in the woods in the night). I would have loved more time to explore the local trails.

Camping here is a great experience for those looking to get away. I always enjoy the Colorado blue skies here. Freedom from cell service lets you be totally free for a few days. Clean sites, well maintained, and easy access to some excellent hiking trails for moderate and advanced adventures.

The camp host did a greatly appreciated and thorough job of keeping the facilities & area clean (especially the vault toilet area). Thank you.

Great space for two people near downtown Santa Fe! Close to great restaurants and is convenient to get in/out of the town. We stayed because we were showing our horses at the HIPICO Equestrian Facility nearby. The only criticism I have is the number of automated emails sent before our reservation began. They were all well-intentioned and appropriate but perhaps could have been combined into one or two emails instead. If we had the time we would have explored some of them because they sounded interesting. But that is a small thing for an otherwise wonderful experience. Ricardo was absolutely lovely and easy to contact.
