What Guests Are Saying
Green Ridge campground offers stunning views and a tranquil atmosphere, with clean facilities, helpful camp hosts, and great access to Shadow Mountain Lake and nearby trails. While some sites are close together, leading to a lack of privacy, and issues with tree trimming and parking have been noted, the overall experience remains positive. Campers appreciate the well-maintained bathrooms, though some flush toilets were out of service during certain stays, and many guests express a desire to return for the beautiful surroundings and recreational opportunities.

Campground is nice, bathrooms were clean, but we had some awful neighbors on our second day. We ended up leaving early. Thayer had 6 dogs in their campsite, none of them on a leash. They constantly came into our campsite even after kindly asking our neighbors to “please keep your dogs out of our campsite”. I notified the host on the way out and he told me they don’t have a policy on how many dogs are allowed. We won’t be returning to this campground.

Great camp spot that had super clean grounds and pit toilets. Dumpsters available. Spot was level! Just up the road there is potable water and sewer dump. Pay for day pass if you don’t already have one to use.

Great camp. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Stopped in Grand Lake for lunch at Roaring Rapids. Food was delicious. Lake fantastic for kayaking.

I was at site 76. I felt like the sites were too close together, not enough trees. LOTS and LOTS of kids to the point where I felt like I was in a daycare. I woke up to the tortuous sound of crying from multiple kids and barking dogs. Way way too busy, not peaceful at all. You cannot see the lake from this campground. There is a huge hill to climb to get to the lake. If you wonder about cell signal, I could text and call, but could not go to any websites. I will not be back.

Great spot for star gazing as it’s pretty open without trees. Sites are nice and level. Clean vault toilets. Close to Grand Lake.

We had a great time at this campground. Hosts were the best and very helpful. The one thing we discovered, and we have a 30 ft. 5th wheel, is that the measured lengths of the sites does not mean you will fit. The site we reserved said it would accommodate a 32 ft. Trailer. It would be impossible to get a 30 ft. Trailer into this space.
