What Guests Are Saying
Green Ridge campground offers stunning views and a tranquil atmosphere, with clean facilities, helpful camp hosts, and great access to Shadow Mountain Lake and nearby trails. While some sites are close together, leading to a lack of privacy, and issues with tree trimming and parking have been noted, the overall experience remains positive. Campers appreciate the well-maintained bathrooms, though some flush toilets were out of service during certain stays, and many guests express a desire to return for the beautiful surroundings and recreational opportunities.

I have a 35 ft trailer and chose a site that was identified as being suitable for that size tailer. i was unable to actually get in the site because the turn was too tight and the boulders lining the road prevented me from making the turn necessary to back the trailer into the sight. I was very appreciative of the camp host who worked with me to find another open site that I was barely able to fit into. You either need to set those boulders further back off the road or reduce the size trailer identified for the sites.

Our campsite was easy to back the 5th wheel into and was clean with no trash anywhere, I gave a 1 star reduction because the main road that goes through the campground is narrow and difficult with a large trailer. We came very close to hitting several trees both going around corners and when the tail end swings out. Some of the limbs do hang out over the road and we did end up with some Colorado pin striping on one side of the trailer.

The campground host in loop B was the best we have had there in 30 years! Friendly, but kept control of the campground. Everything was clean. He was always available when we needed him.

Busy campground. Loop B had super heavy traffic because fishermen use the campground road to access the spillway. Loop A had much less traffic. Most of the campsites are really short. Short enough that people had to park their vehicles in sideways in front of their trailer to get off of the road.
Each loop had it's own camphost and both were AAA+. Special shout out to Garrett on loop B. Good dude.

Love this campground and location so much! Just be warned that when they say you can have 8 people you can only camp on set pads, so if you need more than one tent make sure the spot can support it.
