Campground was beautiful and quiet, however the lack of drinking water and trash service took my rating down a star.

Large sites with shade. Only draw back was no water and pit toilets. But the toilets were pretty good as far as pit toilets are considered.

This is a nice campground close to Allenspark and a short drive to Estes Park. It is approximately 1.3 mi from the Wild Basin entrance for hiking trails into RMNP. The campground has no water, so bring your own. Sites are well spaced with room for a variety of RV's and tents. The bathrooms were maintained daily and were clean. There is shade at most all sites. One loop is First Come the rest are reserved. No cell service is available at the campsite. Wifi is available through the "Old Gallery" in Allenspark.

The campground is located on the west side of Colorado Highway 7, between Allenspark and Meeker Park at mile-marker 14. It is approximately six miles north of the intersection of Colorado Highways 7 and 72 (which is 21 mi west-north-west of Lyons)...
The campground is located on the west side of Colorado Highway 7, between Allenspark and Meeker Park at mile-marker 14. It is approximately six miles north of the intersection of Colorado Highways 7 and 72 (which is 21 mi west-north-west of Lyons), 15 mi south of Estes park, and 29 mi north of Nederland.
Policies & Rules
General
- Water is not available at Olive Ridge. Please bring all the water you will need for your stay. There are not utility or water hook-ups, dump stations, or showers within the campground.
- This is bear country! For bear and human safety, keep a clean campsite and do not place food or other attractants in your tent. For more information about visiting bear country, contact Colorado Parks and Wildlife at http://wildlife.state.co.us

- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- All campsites must be occupied within 26 hours of the beginning of the reservation. If not present the site will be rented by first come first serve basis.
- EXTRA VEHICLE FEES: One vehicle is included in your reservation. Any additional vehicles will be charged $8.00 per vehicle per night and will be collected by the camphost. There is not a way to pay for extra vehicles when you make your reservation. One vehicle consists of one camper being towed by vehicle, or any other vehicle towed behind camper. One van or one truck with camper attached counts as one vehicle.
- Fire Restrictions: Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed.
- Tents must fit on the pads provided. All campsites with a tent pad have a bear locker. RVs, trailers or other vehicles must fit on the parking spur. Driving or parking off road is not permitted.
- Pets must be on a hand-held leash at all times.
- Modifications for this campground must be made through Recreation.gov PRIOR to your reservation start date. Customers and contact center agents cannot modify reservations on or after the check-in date.
