We had 2 wonderful days of kayaking even though the water was at an all time low. It was very sad to see how far down it was. The little islands are no more. We enjoyed seeing the osprey working with their fledglings. Our site was wonderful (A12). Actually, all the sites have adequate space.

Loud music from nearby campers spoiled my time. There needs to be a protocol for reporting these disturbances.

We never even stayed there. We booked three nights drove through saw our site drove around, trying to find a better site. They’re too close this sites are too tight to walk around with stairs to get to the fire rings was not even practical. They’re not kept up. A lot of people crowded crowded with cars. It was not a place I would recommend for anyone in Colorado. We drove down a few miles and found Sunset Bay, which was first come first serve and had a fabulous experience. Beautiful trees on all the sites. There are no hook ups but I’d rather have that than stay at Stillwater.

The campground and our site were absolutely beautiful. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the women's showers in the bathroom nearest to our site were out of order for our entire 5 night stay. They also ran out of hand soap in the bathroom on day 2 and never managed to fill it up again. All in all I would stay here again, I'd just make sure to carry my own hand soap.
Should probably mention. This campground is right off of a highly traveled road so you will hear highway sounds throughout the night.

We had a great experience at Stillwater. Even though the water was low, the walk from our site to the water was 5 minutes. Beautiful views!

Policies & Rules
General
- RV water connections are only available on sites with electric hookups. RV connections are not available at the non-electric sites.
- This is bear country! For bear and human safety, keep a clean campsite and do not place food or other attractants in your tent. For more information about visiting bear country, contact Colorado Parks and Wildlife at http://wildlife.state.co.us
- Boats are subject to inspection to prevent the spread of zebra and quagga mussels.
- Click here to purchase the Arapaho National Recreation Area pass; Interagency America the Beautiful Age and Access passports are valid for admission
- You must stay in the campsite you reserved. Site-swapping is not allowed.
- Amperage is variable with choices of 20, 30, and 50 amps.

- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- All campsites must be occupied within 26 hours of the beginning of the reservation.
- EXTRA VEHICLE FEES: One vehicle is included in your reservation. Any additional vehicles will be charged $8.00 per vehicle per night and will be collected by the camphost. There is not a way to pay for extra vehicles when you make your reservation. One vehicle consists of one camper being towed by vehicle, or any other vehicle towed behind camper. One van or one truck with camper attached counts as one vehicle.
- Fire Restrictions: Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed.
- Tents must fit on pads provided. RVs, trailers or other vehicles must fit on the parking spur. Driving or parking off road is not permitted. Parking can accomodate RVs of many sizes; spurs range from 25 to 40 feet in length.
- Modifications for this campground must be made through Recreation.gov PRIOR to your reservation start date.
