This is not a remote camping experience. You’re next to a busy highway and basically in town. The vegetation is coming back, there are small trees, and the campsites are fairly large. The fire pits are oddly positioned so you can only put chairs on two sides, not all around- for every campsite. The facilities are clean and usable.

Overall the campground was great, we always enjoy staying up in Still water. The only negative is we lost power twice one day but they were able to get it back on within fifteen minutes to a half hour both times.

Great location, absolutely loved being so close to the lake. Only downside was some loud younger people one of the nights past quiet hours.

This campground is in a great location, right by the lake, close to the bathrooms (which were kept fairly clean), and I originally thought there’d be showers nearby, but they were broken, so only one was available for the entire campground. The sites are pretty close together with not much tree cover, but the view is beautiful, and it’s calm, quiet, and perfect for paddle boarding.
We did have a bit of a weird experience with the camp host on the first day. I switched sites after already paying, which caused some confusion, but once she understood, it was fine. Later that night she came by around 10 pm concerned about how many people we had, even though I had reserved for up to 8 (we had 4 adults, a teen, a toddler, and a baby). I think the issue was the number of tents, even though we were all on the gravel.
We also overpaid for an extra two cars because we thought we had to pay at the kiosk, but apparently payment should go through the camp host using cash or check in an envelope, so we wasted $ there. I wish the signage were clearer about how to pay for extra cars. After that, things were smoother, and our host was friendlier. It just seemed like she might’ve had bad experiences with past campers, but we were a low-key group just trying to enjoy our time.
Overall, I would probably return to this campsite. The lake is totally worth it!

Love this campground on lake Grandby!
There aren't many trees, but the views are outstanding and the lake isn't busy with boaters.
