What Guests Are Saying
Pinon Flats Campground is well-regarded for its friendly camp host, Nancy, and beautifully maintained facilities, including clean restrooms and stunning views of the sand dunes. The campground offers a peaceful atmosphere, ample tree cover, and easy access to hiking trails. However, some sites are small and not fully accessible for individuals with mobility challenges, and issues with noise from other campers have been noted. Overall, it is a memorable camping experience with great amenities.

We loved our campsite. Although it was small it was perfectly situated for our needs. Flushing toilets, ample drinking water, and bear safe trash were all easily accessible. We hiked about a half mile directly from the campsite to the dunes and enjoyed an evening fairly alone in the water trickle and on the closer dunes. Only complain was the mosquitoes were swarming constantly and that was pretty miserable. We spend the rest of our vacation nursing itchy bites from day 1.

Campsites are pretty small, decently close together but not horrible. There are definitely a couple of absolute gems at the campground, but I guess you need to visit to know which ones are great!
It can get windy, so make sure to stake your tent. Weather in mid-July was absolutely perfect. It was raining when I arrived, but stopped quickly and I was able to walk on the sand for hours, as it was not hot at all and clumpy so it wasn't getting everywhere. Loved my experience!

Beautiful location, lots of mosquitoes. Kyle was a very helpful camp host. While this is a very busy campground it doesn’t really feel that way.

The campground, view, area, bathrooms, etc. were all great. There were just so many mosquitos! I have never seen so many mosquitos together in one place, in my life!

Wow! Mosquito Apocalypse! We have never seen so many mosquitoes in one place. The site was great and had shade, but in July the mosquitoes are really bad. Be ready!

So many bugs this year! Still a quality campsite. Hosts were helpful and kind. Clean bathrooms with plumbing. Dish wash stations with running water. Short walk to the dunes. Great time.

Fantastic campgrounds. The facilities were super clean and the campground was week maintained. The entire campground was quiet at 10pm you could hear a pin drop.
Can’t wait to do it again!!!!

Amazing. Larger camper/truck pad. Able to get our long pop up and suburban parked easily. The view is worth a million dollars. Facilities were cleaner that any campground we have been in.
