What Guests Are Saying
Pinon Flats Campground is well-regarded for its friendly camp host, Nancy, and beautifully maintained facilities, including clean restrooms and stunning views of the sand dunes. The campground offers a peaceful atmosphere, ample tree cover, and easy access to hiking trails. However, some sites are small and not fully accessible for individuals with mobility challenges, and issues with noise from other campers have been noted. Overall, it is a memorable camping experience with great amenities.

Nice flat tent base, clean bathrooms, plenty of space. Bear box at each site. Nice to be able to wake up early and go straight to the sand dunes when it’s still cool or late in the evening and enjoy the dunes at night.

Excellent campground! The sites were well kept and generally had plenty of privacy and space between neighbors. The bathroom were extremely clean, and it’s only a 3 minute drive to the dunes parking lot. We’ll be staying again very soon

It was a nice campground and had everything we needed. Would be good to have potable water signs to show where safe drinking water is. Mosquitos were terrible but that’s nothing they can control.

This is a great campground with large sites and easy walking distance to the dunes. Also short drive to parking area by the stream across the dunes that has showers to rinse off.
