Pleased with stay in this campground. We stayed in campsite D53. Nice site with plenty of room for 3 small tents (group of 3 bikepackers). Love that sites built to minimize impact to surrounding vegetation and trees. Clean bear box and table. The bathrooms we used were very clean (standard FS composting toilets). Campground is situated on bike path that runs from north of Silverthorne to Breckenridge so easy to get to these areas safely. The camp hosts were friendly and helpful. My only con: you can here road noise from nearby Hwy 9 and I-70 but not as bad as I thought it might be considering proximity of campground to these roadways.

Many sites have good access to Lake Dillon for kayaking/SUP (no swimming allowed in lake). Easy access to the paved trail around the lake. Great place to camp for those activities.
A pretty walk of a couple of miles to a Safeway. Plenty of restaurants in Frisco and Silverthorne.
The Frisco Adventure Park has a good frisbee golf course. Finding the next tee can be challenging, so enjoy the scenery while searching.
Short drives to plenty of great hiking.
The noise from I-70 comes and goes (wind?). Sometimes you can't hear the traffic at all, other times it was easy to hear but never loud. The generator in the next site for a couple of days was hard to ignore.
There are no dump stations or even collection places for dishwater. For camping in bear country and right by water, dumping dirty water on the ground seems wrong. It is not allowed in most NPS and NFS campgrounds I've stayed at in bear country or near water.
Come prepared for mosquitoes and plenty of harmless flying bugs. Usually enough of a breeze to keep a Thermacell from being effective in the open. Afternoon storm cells can deliver gusts to blow over something not weighted/staked down. My cheap canopy metal stakes (more like pins) didn't hold. Too many rocks under the surface at my site to put in big stakes. Other sites did okay.

Wonderful and beautiful. We could launch our kayaks from our campground.Very quiet at night except constant freeway noise that you get used to.lots of trees between spots.
