This site is perfect if you want to feel secluded and not really see your neighbors! The space for your tent is backed far enough away from the road that the trees make it feel like you’re the only one camping here. Plus you have the entire backside of the site to explore and walk to the water. Only downside is the bathroom and water is a minor walk away, but this is worth it for the privacy of this site.

Nice campground near Frisco. Lake is really low this year so we did not bring kayaks. Quiet even tho close to town and the Dam Round. We were in A loop…no bathroom. NO CAMPFIRES!🔥

Nice views but VERY loud. Noise from cars and folks nearby were EXTREMELY loud all night. Lots of shade which was lovely. Fine for one night of camping.

Wish the sites had electricity and water.
Also I booked site for 16’ and my RV is 23. I must have messed up somehow, but it was a wonderful night!

The water was extremely low due to drought, beyond anyone’s control and forest fire smoke was an issue, but we had a great time. The campground staff kept the sites and toilets in immaculate condition. Summit County offers many choices of activity. Only water faucets available except on the C loop (electric). You can’t run a hose to refill your RV except on C loop so come full or bring Jerry cans to fill with. No septic on site. There is a septic site at the far south end of Dillon Resevoir for a fee, about 15 minutes drive.

This was a great camp spot, very flat area for setting up camp, close to bathrooms but not too close, parking ~30 ft from camp spot, the water on the lake is very low, probably a 0.1m walk right now to the water, but it was great for the dogs to have more to explore

Getting There
From I-70, take Frisco exit to 203. Turn left onto the Dillon Dam Road.
Travel northeast for 1 mi. The campground will be on the right hand side
of the road.

Heaton Bay is accessible via I-70, with the Frisco exit leading to Dillon Dam Road, which is approximately 1 mile from the interstate.
