What Guests Are Saying
Peak One Campground boasts a fantastic location near trails, towns, and Lake Dillon, making it ideal for outdoor activities. The campground is clean, well-maintained, and offers good privacy between sites. However, there are ongoing issues with restroom facilities, as vault toilets remain closed and only porta-potties are available, which some guests found less than satisfactory.

Nice campground, sites were spaced out well. Didn't feel like a large campground experience, based on how things were laid out. Just steps away from the reservoir, even if your site isn't on the water.

A lot of the campsites at Peak One are very short and not level side to side, which is the case with #66. We had two SUVs and that was all we could have fit. If we would have had a camper, I'm not sure we could've gotten it into the site - so be sure to check site length. Lope C doesn't have a lot of trees, so the sites are not as private as the other 2 loops. Camp host were very nice, but there were campers partying next to us until 1am and I don't think the camp host ever came out of their camper after about 7pm, so nothing was done about the noise.
Beautiful lake and the wildflowers were blooming when we were there. Great place for mountain bikers, as you can get on the Frisco Peninsula trails right from the campground and access the paved bike path easily as well.

COLD lake, no shade, NO water other than what’s in the lake. Beautiful views. 15 minute drive to town. No Mountain bike trails from the campground.

We love Peak One; it’s our favorite campground. We love being able to bike all over summit county on bike trails and all the shopping/dining options that are nearby.

Restrooms were fantastic (real flushing toilets and a sink), water was available, sites were clean and spaced out well. Cell service was also ok. Close to Frisco and anything you might need (Walmart, laundry, restaurants, groceries).

Campers may leave the site for 24 hours and must occupy the site otherwise. This allows a camper to say go for an overnight backpack trip in the woods for one night and come back to their campsite the next day. |
