What Guests Are Saying
Peak One Campground boasts a fantastic location near trails, towns, and Lake Dillon, making it ideal for outdoor activities. The campground is clean, well-maintained, and offers good privacy between sites. However, there are ongoing issues with restroom facilities, as vault toilets remain closed and only porta-potties are available, which some guests found less than satisfactory.

We had a nice campsite with privacy and water access, though not all have that. New growth pines (after clear cutting many years ago due to pine beetle kill) offer privacy and shade. Near Frisco so easy access if you forgot anything. I'll camp here again for sure.

Sites are level and not on top of each other. The bathrooms at peak one are absolutely spotless! We would stay here again.

There were no flushing toilets. The bathrooms were locked and portable toilets were in place. There were two portable toilets to service the entire camping loop where there would normally be 6 flushing toilets.
We didn't receive the notification that the toilets weren't working until we were already at the camp site.

Camp host Jane was very nice and cheerful. The perimeter mountain bike trail and spacious pine tree filled campsites keep us happy campers. Thank you for keeping the rates reasonable. 🌲🌻⛰🚲

Just wanted to say that the sacrifice of your boat ramp and day use area at Pine Cove for large RV camping seriously detracts from its use. While you may think it’s appropriate to treat non-urban forests as urban recreation areas, the density is totally distressing. You should create a day use area that does not have these impacts. I should not have to watch everybody hang out at their RVs with all their toys In order to eat my lunch and use a trail. As a point of clarification, I do on a teardrop myself.

I loved it at Peak One! It was simply beautiful and I can’t wait to go back. There was so much to do that it’s hard to decide what to do first. The bathrooms were very clean and it was quiet at night. Absolute heavenly!

Campers must occupy the site the first night at a campsite. This precents booking the site for Fri-Sun and showing up on a Saturday. |

Campers may leave the site for 24 hours and must occupy the site otherwise. This allows a camper to say go for an overnight backpack trip in the woods for one night and come back to their campsite the next day. |
