What Guests Are Saying
Peak One Campground boasts a fantastic location near trails, towns, and Lake Dillon, making it ideal for outdoor activities. The campground is clean, well-maintained, and offers good privacy between sites. However, there are ongoing issues with restroom facilities, as vault toilets remain closed and only porta-potties are available, which some guests found less than satisfactory.

What a beautiful place!!! The best of the National Forest with conveniences and shopping just 5-10 minutes away. Will definitely be back!

People blasting music.
Why were we not given advance notice that all the bathrooms were closed and there were only porta potties available? I feel like we should not have to pay full price if the facilities are not fully available.
Also, we are tent campers and the tent "sites" are awful. They are unlevel/nonexistent. These campsites cater to cars/RVs, yet we are paying the same price?

Very clean campground with friendly helpful hosts. The road is a little rough and hookups would be a great addition. The location is perfect, a short bike ride on a well maintained concrete trail will take you to either Frisco or Breckenridge. Would definitely stay here again.

Great campground location.
Most trees in the campground are very small, due to recent loss of trees to what I believe was an insect infestation. The bathrooms were currently down due to a damaged sewer line (had porta-potties). They don't have showers at this campground. You're not permitted to swim in the lake.

We love the Peak One Campground for it’s convenient location to the mountain biking trails, paved road biking path and to the fun town of Frisco.

The location is amazing, it's clean, well organized and it was quiet. We loved everything except the toilets were closed and they had chemical toilets instead. They were clean but those toilets are smelly and gross. Otherwise great spot!

Very nice campground with great biking trails on the peninsula and beautiful sunsets! We were surprised at how much we enjoyed it- so close to home. #79 was a big spot, private and great view of Peaks One and Two. Not all the sites have a mtn view, so we were happy with our scenery even tho no lake view. Just a short stroll away to the waters tho. Will return here!

Campers must occupy the site the first night at a campsite. This precents booking the site for Fri-Sun and showing up on a Saturday. |

Campers may leave the site for 24 hours and must occupy the site otherwise. This allows a camper to say go for an overnight backpack trip in the woods for one night and come back to their campsite the next day. |
