What Guests Are Saying
Peak One Campground boasts a fantastic location near trails, towns, and Lake Dillon, making it ideal for outdoor activities. The campground is clean, well-maintained, and offers good privacy between sites. However, there are ongoing issues with restroom facilities, as vault toilets remain closed and only porta-potties are available, which some guests found less than satisfactory.

I think the campground is okay. The camp hosts were a little too peevish in my view which made me not want to stay long. Sunday checking out was a mess. We wanted to launch our paddle boards from the nearby boat ramp after we packed up and checked out. However we had a trailer and the ridiculous rules in the adjacent day use lot made this very difficult. We were forced to pay for another night in the camping lot just to be on the water for a few hours. The day use parking lot had no more than 2 cars in it all day long. The host was not flexible and it was clear he would report any trailers to the sheriff for a ticket. This is clearly a revenue generating scheme as there was no real demand necessitating the no-trailer rule. I won’t return.

Spent 2 nights here. Lots of mountain bike / hiking trails nearby. Frisco is a good central location close to Breck, Keystone, and Silverthorne. Camp site was alright for tent camping but seemed better suited for an RV. There is no shade. Bring your own shade canopy. You'll sunburn faster at altitude. Bathrooms were alright but no showers. I really wish there were showers available. After 3 days of mountain biking I did not smell nice.

The campground hosts were great. Can’t remember their names but they were on top of things, very nice and professional.

Near the water. Flush toilets. Full cell service. Wood can be bought from the camp host. Great views.

Peak One was great. I stayed at site 46 and it had a short trail right to the water. The sites are VERY close so don’t expect privacy but it’s a great location. Bathrooms were clean.

Peak One is an Excellent location, clean and an overall experience. The trees are coming back extremely well following the beetle kill from years ago. We will be back.

Campers must occupy the site the first night at a campsite. This precents booking the site for Fri-Sun and showing up on a Saturday. |

Campers may leave the site for 24 hours and must occupy the site otherwise. This allows a camper to say go for an overnight backpack trip in the woods for one night and come back to their campsite the next day. |
