What Guests Are Saying
Peak One Campground boasts a fantastic location near trails, towns, and Lake Dillon, making it ideal for outdoor activities. The campground is clean, well-maintained, and offers good privacy between sites. However, there are ongoing issues with restroom facilities, as vault toilets remain closed and only porta-potties are available, which some guests found less than satisfactory.

We really enjoyed the spacious site as well as the adequate space between sites. We never even heard any voices. The restrooms are awesome and quite modernistic sitting up on the hills. The perimeter trail was a great trail to explore. We will finish it next time.

Kayaking up and down the lake was great. The trail near the lake was easy to walk.

It's a beautiful location, it is a very busy campground, we have probably stayed 4 times over the past 24 months. The only thing I would say is that the campsites are not always the cleanest. The Camphosts only seem concerned with collecting the parking fee for a second vehicle, which is something I have never experienced in National Forest Campsites before.

Everything was great except for generator noise. Why can’t we have generator free loops?

Great location, nice sized open spots clean bathrooms, and easy reg/check in, etc. my only complaint has nothing to do with peak one, but with the reservation system. The 5 spots near us were all reserved and empty. It would be great if people could cancel.

Campers must occupy the site the first night at a campsite. This precents booking the site for Fri-Sun and showing up on a Saturday. |

Campers may leave the site for 24 hours and must occupy the site otherwise. This allows a camper to say go for an overnight backpack trip in the woods for one night and come back to their campsite the next day. |
