What Guests Are Saying
Peak One Campground boasts a fantastic location near trails, towns, and Lake Dillon, making it ideal for outdoor activities. The campground is clean, well-maintained, and offers good privacy between sites. However, there are ongoing issues with restroom facilities, as vault toilets remain closed and only porta-potties are available, which some guests found less than satisfactory.

We stay here for years and the place is okay, some of the sides are very tide to park the trailer and a large suv . They need to be extended a bit and again this year someone was trying to break in at night to our car .For sure lock your car and close all the windows at night .

We showed up 20 minutes after our check in time. Only to find a large group in our site. They were convinced they had the site for the night since they were there for the week prior. Turns out they just booked one extra night the next day. The host did very little to remove the group from our site. In the end we were told to find any open spot which there were none. Then offered to camp in a parking lot. Finally the host attempted to make the situation better by calling someone who hadn’t checked in and see if we would take their spot. They would be given our original spot since the other group was taking over 3 hours to vacate. We were also told to go on a hike while we wait. The area we were told to go to had toxic mold in the water which our dogs walked into. After learning this we just left. I advise against staying in this campsite. We were site 80 so maybe the other areas have better host. Not sure but this was a waste of a Saturday. Also someone’s dog died from the water potentially is what the host told us after our dogs were there.

My husband and I had a great time staying at Peak One campground recently. The bike trails were awesome and we really lucked out with beautiful weather. We cannot wait to go back!

We had a wonderful site next to the water. Site 49 is a bit close to the other site to the right side of the site but all in all it was a great site. We rented e-bikes and rode on the rec path which was really fun. Wish we would have had our own paddle boards or kayak as we could have just gone out on the water right from our site.

The location and campground is great, I've been here several time. With COVID I think there are some of the basic things offered at state campgrounds that have been overlooked at this one, probably because it is so popular. The restrooms have no facility to dry your hands (dryer, towels etc). No soap or mirror (not important but nice), no area to wash dishes, no place to dump grey water, no easy recycling. Again, great location if you can get a site close to the water, lots to do in the area.

We had site 60 and it was beautiful
True boondocking here- have to fill tanks before arrival and dump station a couple miles away but well worth it.
Hosts were very helpful and very nice.

Campers must occupy the site the first night at a campsite. This precents booking the site for Fri-Sun and showing up on a Saturday. |

Campers may leave the site for 24 hours and must occupy the site otherwise. This allows a camper to say go for an overnight backpack trip in the woods for one night and come back to their campsite the next day. |
