Beautiful views!!!! Located right in the heart of our favorites areas in colorado. Frisco only miles away which is a great place to spend a day. Only a short drive to vail and some great restaurants and breweries. This is a must stay spot! Great campsites, and very clean restrooms.

Beautiful campsite with friendly hosts, got a spot overlooking the water and woke up to pure glory through the window of our freshly converted van. π

Nice campground with many good sites with a good view. However, a frowning, grumpy park ranger came to our campsite, marched through it, looked through the woods behind us like he was looking for contraband, and then left. As he was stomping back through our site, I said "Hi" and he just grunted back. We are retirees and certainly not doing anything wrong. We sure didn't feel welcome. We have found that Colorado parks typically have great staff, so this was a disappointing exception.

It was a short stay but we will be back. They are fairly private sites and overall it was very quiet. We were directly facing the lake so there was just a touch of road noise from across the lake... Nothing a little music or a crackling fire didn't cover up.

We love this campground. It is big, but never too wild or crazy.

Campers must occupy the site the first night at a campsite. This prevents booking the site for Fri-Sun and showing up on Saturday. |
| General |
Campers may leave the site for 24 hours and must occupy the site otherwise. This allows a camper to say go for an overnight backpack trip in the woods for one night and come back to their campsite the next day. |
