What Guests Are Saying
Petersburg Campground is a beautiful and well-maintained site with spacious, clean campsites and friendly staff, making it a peaceful place to enjoy nature. Many visitors appreciate the gorgeous scenery, access to the lake, and the opportunity to see wildlife like armadillos and woodpeckers. Although there are some lingering effects from Hurricane Helene, including tree damage and a need for improvements in certain facilities, overall feedback suggests a positive camping experience.

Nice park i got my own beach area to myself, area was clean bathrooms clean. Was going to put 3 stars cause people out there don't care about quiet hours and no body in the park does anything about it. It's called common courtesy which no one there had.

My husband and I are both retired and do a lot of camping, this was our favorite campground so far and it’s only an hour and a half from home!

Bring a bicycle
It’s a great campground for biking
The sites are very dusty, which is the only drawback
And some sites would be nicer if the trees were trimmed so there’s a lake view

Bring poison ivy killer! Lots of poison ivy on our site, probably on others as well. The lake is great but can get a little rough from boats or weather.

We are very fortunate and blessed to have the facilities at Clark’s Hill. Most relaxing place to enjoy a family vacation.

We really enjoy this place! The facilities are very clean and all the campsites are well groomed. We come here to go mountain biking, kayaking and paddle boarding. So much to do here.

Mostly nice level roomy campsites, most of them shaded, almost all have lake access or at least view of lake. Good swimming beach, great boating, fishing pier. Clean but simple bathhouses, showers and 1 washer/dryer. Ice and convenience store about 2 mi down the road. Bike trail access
