It was beautiful. Very clean nice bathroom buildings. A large gathering next to us kept us up with their loud drunken conversations that included the f word every 30 seconds from 9pm till 1am. The other campsites had mostly small families some with quiet small children. No ranger came around to check on things like I had hoped.

Beautiful views. Rented a camper jeep which was great. Lots of tent campers. Campers were quiet. Minimal light pollution so night stars were amazing. Bring an head lamp. Outhouses were clean. Would stay there again!

Beautiful sunrise view and wonderful staff. The water lack of drinking water and the road to get there is challenging.

An incredible campground for sunrise/sunset views. The bathrooms are basic, but it's a short walk to the visitor's center with running water, showers, etc. All in all, we stayed 1 night and it was definitely worth it for the views and peace & quiet!

Kipahulu campground is an excellent reward at the end of the Road to Hana. Campsites are well spaced out, with great views of the ocean and sunrise.Facilities are clean, although no showers, no problem.

Close hikes you can walk to from the campground, Seven Sacred Pools and Pipiwai Trail to Waimoku Falls.

Nine and half miles back to Hana ( about 35 minutes) for supplies. Great pizza at Hana Farms, chicken dinner at Huli Huli Chicken, a sundae at Tony's Place.

Stop at Hamoa Beach, close to Tony's Place for a peaceful, uncrowded day at the beach. Enjoy!!!

The campground was great. We stayed for 3 nights here after camping on the south side of the island for 4 nights. It rains(actual downpour) at any time so be prepared for this. The coast line is amazing when you walk out on the shoreline. Bathrooms were clean and fresh water is just up the hill. The hike to the waterfall from this campground was the highlight of the area for sure. Would for sure recommend this as a great place to stay if your planning to camp in Maui and drive the Hanna Road.
