What Guests Are Saying
Kipahulu Campground offers a stunning location with breathtaking views, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among visitors. The campground features spacious sites, well-maintained bathrooms, and close proximity to the beautiful Pipiwai Trail. While some campers experienced noise disturbances and the campground lacks water and showers, the overall serene atmosphere and natural beauty make it a memorable experience for many.

Very clean Campground, lots of open space and right by the ocean. Highly recommend the spots right by the ocean. (12 and higher)

Drove in and dealt with the sweetest lady IPO😎. What a gem she was and such a pleasure to be welcomed by her. Just nice to drive up and feel welcomed immediately (we connected even though we were Canadian 😏!!). Thanks Ipo

The camping was quiet very peaceful and the most affordable camping in Maui!! We had a nice walk to look at Ohe’o gulch pools just a short distance from the campground. Very beautiful part of the island. The road here is very windy allow lots of time to get to this location.

The road to get there is not for the faint of heart… but, man, is it rewarding. Hands-down the best campground in Maui. You wake up to the sound of waves, can watch the water from your picnic table or grill, and have pit toilets available nearby. They accept vans (thank you) and are SO affordable (only $8/night)!! Do not miss!

We had an excellent experience visiting and staying at Kipahulu thanks to respectful and knowledgeable staff, a truly phenomenal Visitor's Center exhibit which incorporated Native Polynesian knowledge and perspectives, and of course an amazing camping location with all the amenities we needed to be comfortable. Highly recommended!
