What Guests Are Saying
Kipahulu Campground offers a stunning location with breathtaking views, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among visitors. The campground features spacious sites, well-maintained bathrooms, and close proximity to the beautiful Pipiwai Trail. While some campers experienced noise disturbances and the campground lacks water and showers, the overall serene atmosphere and natural beauty make it a memorable experience for many.

Difficult to get the permit. In the end very few people for a lot of space. Very clean toilets :)

Great site with some amazing views!
Note about potable water: While there's no potable water at the camping sites, there is an external potable water station nearby at the visitor centre (along with regular washroom facilities). We brought all our water in with us and didn't go to the visitor centre until after we were done camping.

The organisation about the reservation - like information about the spot, name located in the card and in the post - is very useful and well done. Nice place.

Perfect stop after driving the road to Hana! We stayed here two nights and wish we would have stayed longer. This was our favorite campground out of all the campgrounds we stayed at during our time on Maui. We were lucky and got a spot right by the waterfront. The views were spectacular at night and in the morning. Would love to stay again!

This campground is a paradise away from the population areas. The campground is on a beautiful meadow with trees with a view of the ocean.
The toilets and the campground areas as a whole were clean and well maintained. This is a gem.

The employees were friendly and knowledgeable. The visitors center had great Hawaiin items, information, and gifts, and the showers were a beneficial amenity after hikes. The campground itself was immaculately clean, tranquil, and stunningly beautiful. The roads were well graveled and the walk-in sites were easy to get to with manicured walking paths and excellent privacy. The most incredible place. Thank you for keeping this part of Hana both protected and available. We can't wait to come back!
