Our stay was great! The campground is clean and the views are awesome. The only thing to improve is the death leaves under the picnic table on the site, we had site #18 and there was lots of giant centipede on the ground. If the leaves could be remove we would be able to see them instead of walking on it.

Site 18 was secluded and right next to the ocean. Beautiful spot and not too far from parking lot/toilets. The hike to the waterfalls was awesome as well.

1st time camping and would recommend this location, it gave us time to explore Hana a little longer. The morning was very nice waking up to the ocean and sunrise. I would expect rain at night even if the day was clear.

Opted for one of the hike-in campsites, and it was pretty excellent

We stayed at Kipahulu Campground for two nights. The campground is located right at the shore with a fantatastic view of the ocean and sunrise in the morning. Basic facilities (vault toilets) were clean. There is no drinking or running water at the campground itself, but there is a fountain at the Kipahulu visitors center close by. Staff was very friendly. You can walk along the coastline (Kuloa Point Trail) which offers amazing views and we also hiked the Pipiwai Trail to the Waimoku Falls which is a very nice short hike, well kept, of 4 miles round trip. We will definitely come back.

We had a great time hiking the trails, watching the sunset over the ocean and having a campfire. We made some great friends with other campers. Such a great campsite
