This was a fantastic site! It is a short walk from the parking area and restroom. Waking up by the ocean was tremendous.

Beautiful location with sea breeze. Large area to set up but they are all grass. No gravel tent pads.
A grill and a picnic table are included in the site.

Kipahulu Campground is an absolute gem! This spot is a hidden paradise with lush surroundings and lots of space make for the perfect escape. We stayed at site 19 which was a short walk from the parking lot but had views of the ocean and we were quite isolated from any other spot and rarely saw anyone else. The facilities are clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. 10/10 would pitch my tent here again!

Simple campground, but beautiful. Located right by the ocean. Perfect spot for sunrise. Away from the road which I loved. Quiet and secluded and clean. No running water and drinking, only vault toilets but you can go to the visitor center to use flush toilets, and there is a water fountain. There’s a trail from the campground leading to other trails like Ohe’o Gluch or Pipiwai.

really sad that you can't even swim in the pools anymore. this used to be one of my favorite camp spots on the island, i doubt i will return again. i do want to say the park ranger was full of aloha, and i appreciate her kindness.
