What Guests Are Saying
Kipahulu Campground offers a stunning location with breathtaking views, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among visitors. The campground features spacious sites, well-maintained bathrooms, and close proximity to the beautiful Pipiwai Trail. While some campers experienced noise disturbances and the campground lacks water and showers, the overall serene atmosphere and natural beauty make it a memorable experience for many.

Beautiful site. No shade during the day so I would not plan to stay past morning hours.

One of the best campgrounds I've ever been too, Id recommend sites 16 or 17. Staff was super friendly. Make sure to hike the Pipiwai trail to Waimoku falls through the bamboo forest. Also don't forget to get reservations to catch sunrise on the Haleakala summit. Be ready to drive a very dangerous narrow road on the Hana Highway and use your horn around corners (watch out for goats and cows too). Some people rip down this road.

Best Park Rangers are at Kipahulu. I just wish we could use the stream.

Beautiful campground, clean and easy!
Be careful, some spots are tent only, the car has to be left on the parking

Great camp site, only issue is water is a ways away. Quiet except for breaking waves, scenic and always friendly staff.

Campground is very well kept. Bathrooms available that are clean and garbage available for trash as opposed to packing everything out. Water wasn't available down by the campsites but available at the nearby VC. Weather was fantastic and was worth it just to sit our and watch the moon and stars at night with the breeze off the ocean. A must stay.
