Nice experience. Staying here overnight was a good way to make the road to Hana a two day adventure. It was nice listening to the waves at night. Showers there would be nice but we made due with a bottle of water bath. Park staff was friendly.

Incredible location & extremely well maintained. Rangers at the visitors center & front gate were extremely helpful & friendly. Honestly, one of the best camping experiences we’ve had.

Possibly the best National Park campground we've ever stayed at.

Site 16 is absolute perfection - gorgeous view, shade, private. However, wish there was more to do in the area to justify more than a one-night stay as this site is truly one of the most beautiful I've ever camped.

Amazing and unique experience. Quiet, tranquil, nothing but the breeze and sound of crashing waves. A true paradise within paradise. Plenty of distance from adjacent campsites. Pit toilets are very clean, or you can walk up to the parking lot restrooms which are full-plumbing and running water + drinking water, 24/7. Rangers are super friendly.

The scenic coastal road made getting to Kipahulu Campground a treat in itself. The after-hours check-in was seamless. The jungly, mountainous, and coastal surrounds are simply gorgeous, and each campsite has its own unique vantage. Recommend walking the coastal Kahakai and Kuloa Point Trails as much as the mountain Pipiwai Trail.
