Dump station hose for non potable water had no fitting so that you could not use it for backwashing black tanks.

The campground itself was nice but the empty and neglected check-in shack should be spruced up and info posted on it to inform arrivals that there is no check- in required.

Lots of sites open on weekend that show reserved. Very poor reservation system and campground host could care less. His smart attitude was not appropriate or appreciated. Will not likely go back to South Marcum.

We love pitching a tent at South Marcum. The bathrooms are always clean! It’s close to town with lots of recreational activities available.

This was our first experience at Rend Lake and we loved it! South Marcum was an awesome campground and the sites were long and level. The only downsides were there was some road noise from the highway and we had to go back to the dump station to get water as we didn't see a hookup inside the loop we were at. But, it was quiet and the sites were large so we would definitely go back!

I would love more lighting at night, so you can see better. Also the parking spaces could be a little wider as well.
