The site is on a slope. Wish park would level the site then it would be a perfect spot to camp with a lake view.

Our 4th year at this site, #22 Beaver Lodge Loop, was as good as it gets. The site is fairly level and large. We were there for two weeks including the July 4th weekend. The deer and birds were constant visitors to this part of the Campground. The area is quiet and peaceful and near the bike trail. The trees are perfectly spaced and shade is plentiful. I recommend South Marcum to all. We are residents of Illinois and the Corps has created a close by retreat that is a short trip from home and we thank you.

Excellent campground, beach and biking trails. Staff maintains facilities really well and with an excellent attitude. The only negatives: (1) A percentage of the campsites have excessive slope which makes it difficult to get the rig level and (2) We encounter a lot of ticks at the campsites.

Beautiful campground on Lake Rend. Would definitely stay again. Large sites near the lake. We just stayed overnight.

This is a GREAT campground! Sites are well spaced. Restrooms are clean. Campground overall is very quiet. Level lots, easy to unhook and hook up a tow. Lake Rend is a beautiful area. Plenty of water sports close to the campground. Walmart and restaurants are close. Would LOVE to stay here again!
