Beautiful shaded sites at Bay Furnace and lots of privacy. New and clean pit toilets. Short walk to beach access. Wish there were showers close by.

Great place to stay enabling you to explore Munising area including Pictured Rocks NL. You are boondocking (no water, electric or sewer). There are restrooms but no showers. Another restroom (vault toilets) was being added so should be ready soon. We stayed in site 6 which had full sun. This worked for us since we have solar. Other sites are more shaded. No bugs and temps where in the 60s and 70s. Be prepared for rain any time you are in the UP. Campground hosts were friendly (from WY) and the place was clean. They mentioned most nights sites are full so best to reserve to ensure you get a site. The entrance road in bumpy but if you drive slow you are ok. Dump site was clean and had good water to fill tanks. We camped at Bay Furnace Campground in a Motorhome.

Great to have easy access to water and dump station. We also appreciated the ability to use generator, though we are respectful of time in use, noise and neighbors.

Bay furnace is beautiful! It’s clean, well-maintained, and a perfect location for enjoying Munising. My wife and I kayaked pictured rocks and hiked the National lakeshore. We loved Falling Rocks Cafe and the informational center across the street about the history of the area.

Great campground! This was our second year here. This time we stayed at site 10 on the lake. We’ll be back for sure.

Really enjoyed this campground, especially when the wind changed direction and came in from the north cooling things down considerably. The furnace is fun. Not a lot of trails but Foggies is a nice meal/walk.

Great campsite, cool to see the bay furnace while there. Short walk to a beach and a beautiful picnic area. If you are looking for lots of privacy, this is not the place for you as you can clearly see all campsites nearby. The water and bathrooms are conveniently located. Short drive to the nearby hikes and waterfalls we wanted to see. Would definitely come back

It was peaceful and beautiful! So many wildflowers and the waterfalls were flowing in full force. My campsite was clean and plenty of room for our camper and camping equipment.
