the bathrooms there were the cleanest I have ever seen in a campground!! The host and the park manager were extremely friendly and helpful. Wonderful campsite. Gorgeous area and we could take a short walk to the beach and Lake Superior!

Very nice rustic camping. Beautiful beaches and views of Lake Superior. The road is rough and loaded with potholes. Take it slow! Pit toilets are modern and clean. The campground hosts are nice and helpful keeping the area clean and maintained. Bay Furnace is close to a casino and to Musining where you will find the best pasties anywhere. Also, the picture rocks lakeshore is spectacular. Take the excursion for the best views.

Primitive camping. Site was big enough for our 34’er.& spacious. Nice site close to beach. Bring your own water, no filling station or dumping station.

We had a more interior lot. It was nice, quiet, and private. We had plenty of space and enjoyed the sounds of nature. Next time, we'll try to opt for a lot on or closer to the lake to get more of a breeze.

Great campground and hosts. Clean restrooms and relaxing atmosphere. There were not any mosquitos when I went but there were flys in the mornings. The restaurant to the west of the entrance is a good place to eat, I had all my dinners there. To let you know there was no power to the campsites and no showers. I was able to find a shower at a campground about one mile to the east for $8 at the time of writing this.

Nice host. Love the fact that campground has both reservations and FCFS sites. Plenty of sites for larger RVs. Some shaded, some full sun. Most times Verizon was unusable.

It was clean. Quiet. Plenty of privacy on the sites. And the camp host was helpful. My guess is, the closer you are to the camp host, the quieter the campers.

Bay Furnace is on Lake Superior. Beautiful views, many different waterfalls the area to visit. Minutes from quaint Munising. One of our favorite places to camp.

Temp never got above 55 degrees daytime for three days, but the scenery was beautiful. Treat yourself to a Pastie and the Pictured Rocks boat tour.
