One of the best NPS campgrounds we've ever visited. Would stay here again. Campground is close to trails, fishing, and amenities. Restrooms are clean and updated. Proximity to camp store and token showers at Swiftcurrent is great if needed. Getting there: unsure why NPS doesn't asphalt the road along the reservoir as it is paved both on tribal land before the park entrance and after the reservoir. Many unused sites each night - dismaying to see given how difficult it is to get a camp site at this campground.

I'm not a fan of this reservation system (Lookin' at you recreation.gov!) but Many Glacier itself was wonderful.
The campsite was great with a cut through to private river frontage.
Great trails, wildlife, sights, and the campground host was nice.
There are a lot of rules (no fires, don't leave any food or food prep out).
Swiftcurrent Motor Lodge was also right there which provided access to:
token operated showers - $4 - with plenty of hot water.
coin-operated laundry.
general store/ice/some food & camp supplies.
Nell's restaurant.

Great campground in the heart of the park. Easy walking access to many big trails and the nearby Swiftcurrent Inn has a store, restaurant, and shower services. Will definitely be staying here again upon return.

Just a wonderful place. Not much more to say.
Note: we have an Outdoors RV 27BHS. It's 28' on the box and probably another 3' with the tongue and bumper, so call it 31'. It took everything to get it into our spot. The description would have us believe that it was no problem...
Just be aware, if you have a rig bigger/taller than ours, site 81 is not going to work for you.
And no, I wasn't the one who banged up the tree, but I feel sorry for whoever did, it must have cost a fat stack to repair their damage.

The location of this campground is amazing. Next to all the good hikes. Bathrooms are clean and showers are perfect. Its a very nice campsite. There are two things however we would love the park to improve. 1- the lights from the bathroom at night illuminate the whole campsite. We went there during perseides but the light pollution made it not possible to see the stars properly from the campsite. 2- privacy. Some sites have it good but for most there is not much vegetation and you are camping with your neighbors. We were tent camping and the neighbors campervan was so close we heard their ventilation all night. But for bears you feel really safe. So those are small details but if that could be improved this camping has great views and all you need

A beautiful area of Glacier National Park. Happy we got a chance to snag a last minute cancellation. Definitely worth camping at this location.
