The biggest complaint for me was that there was one bear box per bathroom, not a bear box at each site. How do you expect people to be responsible and bear safe when you don’t provide enough bear boxes??
Second complaint was the sites are pretty close together. I managed to get a spot last minute and it was beautiful and spacious enough for the two of us, but many of the sites are relatively small.
Overall, it’s a nice campground with running water and flush toilets, showers available seasonally ( though they weren’t open when we went in July), and easy access to the better side of Going to the Sun Road.

The campgrounds have an awesome view of the surrounding mountains and you can easily walk to the visitor center. There’s also a creek that runs right by it and it’s a nice place to watch birds in the morning and evening. The down side is that the showers are closed all season 2022 and some campsites are really exposed to sun and high winds.

No showers. They are closed for season. No notification of this lack of key amenity. Bathrooms clean and nice. No shade and lots of wind. Not safe to leave tent unattended due to wind. Cell phone signal is good. Close to town. Private campground would have been better choice since they aren’t that far away.
