Camped for one night. Explored the trail that led from the campground to the top of the mesa before an evening storm rolled in. Not much to block the wind. Facilities were fine and the campground was quiet, with fine views. Easy access to the visitor center and park loop road.

Nice site, clean and well maintained. Bathrooms were clean and easily accessible. Not many Tennants since it was late in the season but turned out to be a great day to hike through Chaco's Pueblo's. Tough to decide which trip was better, Chaco or Mesa Verde. There both great!

The single best campground we’ve ever stayed at, bar none! The heated restrooms and clean flush toilets and hot water sinks were better than most of the hotels we stayed at along the way. The location and natural serenity cannot be topped. If you are willing and able to visit Chaco, try to stay at Gallo and bring a bicycle to visit the sites along the 9 mile loop road. We will definitely take our friends there.

Nice campground in a beautiful setting. The sunset views of the butte are great. Level sites that are nicely spaced.

Mostly excellent. However, we got there after 5, the ranger station was closed, and all the sites that showed available on recreation.gov were empty but marked reserved. Turns out they just do that, you have to confirm with a ranger the next day. Was very confusing.
