What Guests Are Saying
Gallo Campground offers a beautiful and well-maintained camping experience in Chaco Canyon, with stunning views, amazing night skies, and friendly campground hosts who provide valuable information and assistance. The campground is clean and organized, featuring level sites and access to hiking trails and ancient ruins. However, visitors should be aware of the rough access roads, limited privacy between campsites, and occasional issues with water and restroom facilities.

We enjoyed our visit to Chaco Culture National Historical Site. It is a slow, bumpy drive into the site, so staying a few nights at Gallo Campground is the way to go. We spent four nights there and the proximity to the sites and trails made our trip more enjoyable.

While the sites are very close together, the campground is very well maintained and clean. The restrooms are very clean and the running water was a definite plus.

We were at RV site 12 which was very uneven and difficult to level our truck camper. Otherwise, bathrooms were great and Chaco was phenomenal.

The park is very beautiful. The location of the campground is perfect. Just the roads to the park are not the best.
