Decent sites with services limited due to the season. Shower, bathroom closed, no water. Close to the visitor center. Road in is washboard stone and dirt for 13 miles. Plan on a hour drive in due to that road from the hardball to the campground . Came in from the north

We loved this park and the campground was beautiful! The sunset was amazing from our campsite. The water went out while we were there, luckily we brought all the water we needed, but you'll want to keep in mind that this is pretty far away from stores or towns so come prepared.

Nice campsite that is well maintained. One star off because the lots are too close to each other.

Great campsite for access to the fantastic Chaco Canyon. Campsite has heated bathrooms with running water (no showers though), nice flat tent sites, picnic tables, and fire rings. The location is really spectacular with a view of Fajada Butte.

Loved being so close to Chaco. Clean campground. Bathroom has a heater which is nice in winter but the water is cold. If you want warm water in the bathroom, go to the visitor center bathroom

The camping spaces are a little close, but the canyon is so magnificent it doesn’t matter. Space 29 is situated well - close to the canyon wall, a small ruin, and the watchful eye of a raven. The toilets are very clean and that building has fresh water. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

The camp site had a large usable area with a good fire ring and picnic table. We also booked site 16 for family and the two sites together made a perfect area for family with the two corner spots. These two spots are low traffic. Neither spot has shade. Spot 15 needed lots of lift on one side to make the camper level. Vehicle lights shine in to the camper from the main road at night. Spot 16 needed minimal support to level the camper. Spot 15 could be accessed on the normal one way route to back in park a truck and pull behind camper. Spot 16 had to be accessed the wrong way to be able to back in park a truck and pull behind camper. There is plenty of room for a truck park once unhooked. The worst part of the main road takes about 20 minutes to travel the last 8-10 miles.
