What Guests Are Saying
Gallo Campground offers a beautiful and well-maintained camping experience in Chaco Canyon, with stunning views, amazing night skies, and friendly campground hosts who provide valuable information and assistance. The campground is clean and organized, featuring level sites and access to hiking trails and ancient ruins. However, visitors should be aware of the rough access roads, limited privacy between campsites, and occasional issues with water and restroom facilities.

This is a beautiful campground that is free! The Ranger was very nice and informative and everyone at the Visitor's Center was very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. The hike is easy and you get a spectacular view. Highly recommend this place even though it was 10 the night we camped there!

Campgrounds are situated between amazing rock formations. The ruins are significant and well preserved and/or recreated. Restrooms are close to campgrounds. Campgrounds are clean and well maintained.

As usual Chaco never disappoints. The ruins are terrific. Buy the guides to the ruins. It will make your walks through the ruins much more meaningful and enjoyable.

The museum and video at the visitor center are excellent, even though many items were not on display.
