What Guests Are Saying
Cheoah Point Campground offers a beautiful and serene setting near Santeetlah Lake, with friendly and helpful hosts, clean bathrooms, and well-maintained facilities. While campsites are close together, many visitors appreciate the quiet atmosphere and scenic views, making it a great spot for group camping. Some concerns include limited privacy at RV sites and occasional safety issues, but overall, guests look forward to returning for a peaceful retreat.

I love this area and campground however the RV/electric sites are not spaced well. They are mostly lined up with fire pits almost on top of each other. It would be wonderful if there were more to choose from. The camp host, John, was exceptional and helpful as always.

Lake Santeetlah is beautiful, and this campground is very well appointed! Some of the sites are awkwardly close to each other, though... just fair warning. But we still had a blast

Stayed at site #18 bathrooms, showers were close. They were kept tidy. The water source and trash recepticals were close as well. Loved the park attendant, very friendly and checked on us a few times a day to see if all was well. There was not good cell reception. Minor inconvenience compared to the beauty of this area. The beach area views and boat launch were spectacular. Great place to relax and enjoy nature. I'd definitely go again!

We spent one night at Cheoah while traveling to another location. The campground is very nicely maintained and John, the volunteer at the campground, visited soon after we arrived, to welcome us and give us local information. We throughly enjoyed our stay!

A well kept campground. It is well situated near the attractions in this area. The campground host was the best I’ve met!

Pretty campground with electric hookup and nearby water spigot. Bathrooms were not clean. Site was level.

Campsites are very close together and you cannot see the lake. The grass in the the campsite was in need of mowing. Access to the lake is down a steep trail. If I return I would consider one of the cabins, but probably won't be camping there otherwise. We cut the trip short and left early.

Nice campground with 50 amp electric. No water at the sites but it is available. The only problem is there is no dump station to empty your holding tanks.
