What Guests Are Saying
Cheoah Point Campground offers a beautiful and serene setting near Santeetlah Lake, with friendly and helpful hosts, clean bathrooms, and well-maintained facilities. While campsites are close together, many visitors appreciate the quiet atmosphere and scenic views, making it a great spot for group camping. Some concerns include limited privacy at RV sites and occasional safety issues, but overall, guests look forward to returning for a peaceful retreat.

i live in robbinsville and got a new camper for the first time. our dog venus was slowly dying and we wanted to get her camping one time. she made it thru the night and collasped in the road and passed away. we were going to put her to sleep that day but she blessed us with doing it herself right there in this beautiful park. we were at campsite 21 so when you go by the road right there say hi to venus. this park will always be special to us. on a happier note robbinsville has so much to offer. check out all the hidden treasures and you will leave with beautiful memories as well. enjoy..

We really enjoy our time at Cheoah , the only thing that would make it better is water and sewer at each site 18 through 23

Our host, John, was 8 days on-the-job and loving his new career path. We appreciated his enthusiasm and his genuine interest in our camping experience
We really enjoyed our time at this site and look forward to another adventure there

Lovely campground for tent or pop up trailer. camping. I was great that they have 5 RV sites but they are very close together. Good hot showers and very close to many wonderful hiking places. Great start to drive the Tailnof the Dragon from South to North.

Very nice, well kept campground on beautiful Lake Santeetlah. Modern fire pits, lantern hangers, huge picnic tables and electric hook-ups for RVs. Tent pad with all sites, even the RV sites, and well spaced trees for hammocks. Modern flush toilets and showers. About as nice as campgrounds get. The only con was the sparsity and location of fresh water sources. Otherwise, wonderful camp!

Great campground the only negative was that there was no campground host but bathrooms were pretty clean sites spaced well. Definitely will come back in future

I read reviews on how crowded the spacing was but............wow. I couldn't start a fire in the fire ring for fear of catching the rig next to me on fire!!

This is one of the most beautiful camp sites we have stayed at. I have always loved National Forest sites and this one is top notch. The bathrooms are nice and toasty. The RV sites are definitely a bit close, but the views and friendly neighbors made it worth it for us. Be prepared that backing in takes a bit of experience. The tent sites and beach are gorgeous. Great spot to tow your motorcycle to and enjoy the amazing surrounding roads.
