What Guests Are Saying
Cheoah Point Campground is well-maintained, offering clean restrooms and showers, friendly hosts, and stunning views of Santeetlah Lake. The campground provides a serene and quiet atmosphere, making it ideal for relaxation and outdoor activities like hiking and fishing. However, some sites are quite close together, and access to the lake and potable water could be improved.

Campsites are pretty high up on a hill from the lake, however there is a public access to the lake. Campground surrounded by private residences. Drinking water spouts need to be ran at least three times to get clean water to come out. Cooling breeze from the lake up to the campsites would be great in the heat. Cell service very limited. Bathrooms/showers/bear boxes all good quality.

The sites are extremely close so if you're camping with friends it's fine, but if you're trying to get away from it all, you may be disappointed. There was no gate or check in per se. We had paid for our site online. The bathrooms are very basic and were cleaned daily. There was some traffic driving around the loop during the day and a few cars in the night but overall it was very quiet. You have limited access to the lake itself around the loop.
