What Guests Are Saying
Cheoah Point Campground offers a beautiful and serene setting near Santeetlah Lake, with friendly and helpful hosts, clean bathrooms, and well-maintained facilities. While campsites are close together, many visitors appreciate the quiet atmosphere and scenic views, making it a great spot for group camping. Some concerns include limited privacy at RV sites and occasional safety issues, but overall, guests look forward to returning for a peaceful retreat.

Very nice campground. RV electric spots are not many but are roomy and close to bathhouse. Would be nice if dogs were allowed on the beach - owners would pick up after them. Also, the kayak put in by the cabins had a lot of debris and was not easy to get to.

Restrooms were modern but not clean. I was in a reserved RV area, so fortunately using the campground restrooms was not necessary. The camper had to be parked in full sun, but there was shade on most campsites for seating. All campsites had some wooded area on at least one boundary.

Nice general location. The 6 RV slots are way too close together. Felt like we were right on top of each other.

Nice non-electric campsites. Electric sites are just a parking lot with no privacy between sites. Two sites are "buddy" sites, and even if you don't have a buddy, you will be right next to them. Campground itself was pleasant and quiet. Good showers and cell phone reception right behind bathhouse. No cell service at campsite. Beautiful environment and campground is close to Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, which is definitely worth a stop.

Rv campsites are way to close especially site #23. To many barking dogs. Tent campsites are great especially at the point. But good luck getting one, cheoh point is no secret anymore. Swimming area is awesome for the kids.
