What Guests Are Saying

Badin Lake Campground offers a peaceful and scenic environment, making it a great choice for those who enjoy rustic camping and proximity to hiking trails. Many visitors appreciate the quiet atmosphere, clean campsites, and friendly interactions with fellow campers. However, the campground's restroom facilities could use significant improvements, and some sites are closely spaced, impacting privacy. Overall, campers enjoy their experiences but recognize the need for better maintenance in certain areas.

Great camp site! Our site (#18) has direct lake access but it wasn’t flat like a beach to get into and it off the water. Some sites had that. Obviously not something the campgrounds can influence. Nice people. No one was loud late at night. Restrooms were fine, not the cleanest but still just fine for camping. We’ll definitely need back and try to book a spot with better water access and hopefully we won’t get a surprise rain shower!

Very clean campground and campsites. Camp host was very friendly. Lots to do nearby, campground hiking trails are easy and good for families with kids. Feels kind of like being in the mountains. If you're planning on staying in this area, this is the best campground to stay at in my opinion.

Campgound is very good with all basic facilities. There is a short path to a great water view. Unfortunately there were two large yellow jacket colonies in the tree roots. So after seeing that I avoided there. Recommend carefully getting rid of those critters, one colony looked like they could have been 'murder hornets'. The Swim area is small, unmarked and completely undeveloped; wouldn't take much to make it better, couple loads of sand, etc. It's a nice National Forest but improvements regarding access to Badin Lake would be welcome.

My site was taken by some other couple and we were forced to take an inferior location. The music across the lake was blaring until we’ll past 11:00 pm. I will not return to this campsite.
