What Guests Are Saying

Badin Lake Campground offers a peaceful and scenic environment, making it a great choice for those who enjoy rustic camping and proximity to hiking trails. Many visitors appreciate the quiet atmosphere, clean campsites, and friendly interactions with fellow campers. However, the campground's restroom facilities could use significant improvements, and some sites are closely spaced, impacting privacy. Overall, campers enjoy their experiences but recognize the need for better maintenance in certain areas.

The location, campsite, and area were extremely nice and beautiful. The only complaint we have is that there were campers across the lake who played loud musical until 2am almost every night of our stay. They were extremely loud and because of this, we left a day early. We are hoping next time that they will enforce the quiet hours so all campers can enjoy the area.

I do 1 or 2 visits to this campground a year. I am from NY and visit my kids/grandkids but chose to camp out instead of staying inside at there houses overnight. I like my quiet mornings. I would always try for the lower loop but lately the upper loop fits my mornings better, nice and quiet.

Beautiful location for water activities. There is also a easy "hiking" trail. Nice views of the sunset from most of the campsites.
Facilities well maintained, although cleaning frequency could be improved. It was once in 3 days.
Quiet time not enforced. Loud music past 10 pm.
We camped on the lower loop. Total of 2 showers and 2 toilets each for men and women. Expect a line in the morning.

Absolutely love this campground...lots of wooded campsites on the lake (or just a short walk through the woods) that provide plenty of visual privacy! We only stayed one night and unfortunately had some kids on a party barge in the middle of the lake blasting their music until 3am or so...so much for a peaceful night's sleep... maybe next time! We'll be back and will hope for more considerate neighbors (Nothing against Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA"...I just don't want to hear it blasting across the lake at 2:30am!)

Really lovely campsite and perfect for a quick overnight with kids. Site 9 was spacious and shaded - with access to the water!
