Badin Lake Campground offers a peaceful and scenic environment, making it a great choice for those who enjoy rustic camping and proximity to hiking trails. Many visitors appreciate the quiet atmosphere, clean campsites, and friendly interactions with fellow campers. Beautiful site and easy to find. It was great having the hiking trail go right through the camping area. The only reason a 4 star as opposed to a 5 star; the bathrooms were not clean.

Its better to not say how great this place is as we want to keep it to ourselves. Lake side sites, fishing, clean, bathrooms and drinking water...what more do you need.

We arrived on Thursday afternoon, and loved it immediately. It was so peaceful and beautiful. All the facilities were well maintained. The bathrooms were clean, as were the showers (mostly clean). Our site (#18) was nice. It was big enough for 2 tents and all of our gear. It also had a direct access to the lake. However, it was on a cove, so fishing wasn't the easiest, but not terrible.
The road is gravel, so when traffic picked up on Friday, we literally ate and breathed dust and dirt for hours. There's also no enforcement of or adherence to quiet hours. The place was a madhouse Friday night, including bass-thumping music coming from a car 2 sites over, where its owner was just setting up camp at 11pm. Additionally, there were screaming kids and barking dogs that carried on all night. There is no gate to this campground, so people are free to come and go at any hour - and they DO. We will be sticking to weeknights in the future. The weekends are way too out of control.
