What Guests Are Saying
Hawthorn Bluff offers a peaceful camping experience with beautiful lake views, well-maintained trails, and clean facilities, making it a popular choice for families and groups. While some RV sites are not level and certain amenities like hot water and flushing toilets experienced issues, the friendly staff and clean environment contribute positively to visitors' experiences. A nice clean and quiet campground. Wish we could have stayed longer. Lots of shade but it couldn't keep up with the extreme humidity. We WILL go back.

We really loved staying at Hawthorne Bluff. We had great neighbors who respected each other. Noise was kept to a minimum. Our only negative aspect is that we were camping with a tent and there really wasn't any place on our space (36) that we could put the tent without it being on a slope &/or rocks so we had to put it on the parking pad. It worked well except that we couldn't stake down 1 side of our tent. Other than that, we loved the time we spent out there. I do wish we had been closer to the swimming area.

Campground and hosts are always great! Just wish the gates were open so you didn't have to go on the highway to access the boat ramp.

Campground and facilities clean and operational. Some may think the lack of water hookups as a minus. I think it a part of camping!

Scenic park with many lake views, sites are not very level and a good deal of leveling issues can be seen throughout the park. Our site on the water had a asphalt pad and an area with a concrete picnic table and a couple of steps down towards the water where the campfire ring was. There were several vault toilets, but there was a nice newer shower house with individual showers and flush toilets. We had water and electric and used the dump station on departure, all worked well. We only spent a couple of nights and had planned to do some sight seeing, but we stayed Monday and Tuesday and most of the places we wanted to go see were closed. We drove to Tulsa and experienced the same Monday Tuesday closed issue, but found a nice little craft brewery to visit and explored some of the local collage campus.
