What Guests Are Saying
Hawthorn Bluff offers a peaceful camping experience with beautiful lake views, well-maintained trails, and clean facilities, making it a popular choice for families and groups. While some RV sites are not level and certain amenities like hot water and flushing toilets experienced issues, the friendly staff and clean environment contribute positively to visitors' experiences. Overall, guests appreciate the campground's serene atmosphere and accessibility to nearby attractions, despite occasional maintenance concerns.

The camp ground is beautiful and quiet. The sites are large and spacious. The trail was very nice. The only problem is the water issue. It's hard for a family of 7 to go just one day with filling our tank. The bathrooms are nice and the showers are great but I prefer to bathe in my trailer. Between bathing all of us and washing dishes and flushing our toilet we have to fill our tank daily and it is a chore we do not want to do when we come camping to relax. We will probably come again but not once a month. Other lakes have water hook ups that we can stay hooked up to that are just as close to our home as Oologah.

Hawthorne Bluff is one of my favorite camping locations. There are hiking trails nearby. There are fishing opportunities. The park is very picturesque and is generally clean and well maintained. The fellow campers are, typically, polite and thoughtful of their neighbors.

The views were excellent in the mornings for sunrise and also in the evening for the sunset. The Host were very friendly when we checked in. Will definitely recommend this place to anybody. This place is where we go to get away.
