What Guests Are Saying
Lost Lake Resort and Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with scenic lake views, spacious campsites, and a friendly atmosphere. Many visitors appreciate the well-maintained grounds, good fishing, and nearby hiking trails, as well as the convenience of on-site amenities like a store and boat rentals. However, the campground can be busy, especially on weekends, leading to noise and crowding issues, and some facilities, like bathrooms, may need more attention. Overall, it's a cherished spot for many returning campers.

We had a wonderful time camping with our friends at Lost Lake. From the campground we enjoyed hiking through the forest to the Pacific Crest Trail and back. Being on the water in our kayak and taking in the spectacular view of Mt. Hood was very relaxing. There is an amazing trail that wonders through the Old Growth Forest where the giant trees are breathtaking. There was a fire ban but fortunately our friends brought their gas campfire along. We love Lost Lake and have camped here many times. The RV spaces offer a lot of privacy and are quite large. The fact that it is close to Portland makes it a great get away! We will continue to enjoy Lost Lake in the future!

One of the best campgrounds I've ever been to. Quiet and remote (no cell service except by the fridge in the general store), but has all the services one would need, from clean, hotel-quality showers to a well-stocked general store. Beautiful vistas, nice trails and well-kept grounds. The only downside is the camping is quite spread out, so it's a bit of a walk to get to campgrounds from the main area. But that remoteness is also why we came, right?

The check in time / check out time was different on your website… my confirmation email… and at the campground… which made it confusing.
Spots were paid for… but not used… so not available… even though no one was there for several nights.

This used to be my favorite camping place but this time when we got to our campsite there was a bunch of garbage around on the ground and in the fire pit, along with a giant dog turd in one of the tent spots. I noticed a lot of left items, like towels, bottles, clothes and poo bags all around the lake trail. The place seems over-used, especially the bathroom by the boat launch, which was unusably dirty- like feces on the toilet seat. I love this lake but they need to clean up after people or limit how many people can come in!

Not only is Lost Lake gorgeous but the campsites are also wonderful! The only feedback is specific to D13 - online the photos do not show that the campsite is by the bathrooms and a parking lot for the walk in sites.

Great out of the way campsite, but if you have an RV you better have a reservation. The first come first serve looks like tent camping only. It's a long drive in to not get a campsite.

Great campground space for tent camping. I enjoyed all the hiking trails and views of Mount Hood. Park staff were courteous and helpful!
