What Guests Are Saying
Lost Lake Resort and Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with scenic lake views, spacious campsites, and a friendly atmosphere. Many visitors appreciate the well-maintained grounds, good fishing, and nearby hiking trails, as well as the convenience of on-site amenities like a store and boat rentals. However, the campground can be busy, especially on weekends, leading to noise and crowding issues, and some facilities, like bathrooms, may need more attention. Overall, it's a cherished spot for many returning campers.

Nice simple site in beautiful forest and excellent walking trails. Best mid week as its popular and there are lots of kids but its a very special place.

Our recent stay at Lost Lake Campground was 50 years since my last time as a kid and it remains as charming and beautiful now as it did then. The campsite was clean, water and restrooms close by in both directions, and campground hosts and staff were very friendly. We were even able to fill our empty propane tank at the General Store. We hiked around the lake with magnificent views of Mt. Hood and to the top of Lost Lake Butte. The only thing we didn't do and now regret is rent a row boat for our family group to enjoy. However, I fished from my one-person pontoon and caught and released many rainbow trout between 10" - 14". If it weren't for my desire to see different campgrounds throughout the country I would make Lost Lake Campground (Resort) an annual destination.

Best campsite I have ever been to! Everything was very nice. Only small issue I had was when we rented paddle boat it was missing an anchor:) Campgrounds were very clean, all the guests were super nice and quiet. It was beautiful around. I rode my mountain bike around the lake, not sure it was 100% legal, but I made sure to be super careful and courteous to all hikers. Lake was super clean and very swimmable. I want to go back to the lost lake! Plenty of trout in the lake! We caught 9 in 3 hours, kept 6 and released 3.

Pretty, quaint, family friendly. No cell service which I thought was a huge plus. Went alone w my dog and really enjoyed myself. Would recommend going after Labor Day, one of the lovely staff there told me that’s when it’s chiller/ less crowded.

Gosh, I hate to write this because it will mean more people booking this beautiful campground. Oh well, we had an excellent time at Lost Lake Campground. This place is boon docking AND everybody was so respectful of the quiet. There were no generators polluting the quiet, no loud talking, no music. This place was perfect. AND, we rented kayaks and went out on the lake. We saw Ospreys circling, looking for fish and actually saw one dive in the water and come up with a big fish. We also rented a fishing poll but need to take lessons from the Osprey. :-) It was amazing. We love this place and will be back.

Considering there was no electricity or water at the site, I felt the cost of the camping a little expensive because it was basically dry camping. There were no flush toilets, just vault toilets. Granted the water spigots are plentiful.
Additionally, there is plenty to occupy oneself with the lake and all sorts of row boats and such. Maybe that makes it worth while.

Stayed in a group site. Plenty of clear and flat space for tents and chairs around the fire ring. A few good hammock trees and good places to hang lights. Would definitely try to get this site for another large group.
