This is the perfect place to stay if you want to kayak out to the ocean.
The camp sites are big enough for a large tent with space to set up a play pen for the littlest campers. We loved seeing the river otters playing throughout the day as they swam to and from the dam feeding on fish.
Only complaint was the fire ban because every camping trip is incomplete without a campfire.

Nice area!! Glad I was able to get two spots next to each other, took my husband side of the family camping for the first time and they enjoyed it! Bathrooms were kept clean, the walk to the beach was nice, 7am walk to the beach was amazing! The view was even better, wish I had gotten up earlier to see the sun rise. Met one of the host for sure lovely lady, very nice! Easy access to water & garbage bins , only bad thing was we weren’t able to use FirePit due to fire season, but we did use our propane stove for some fire at night to do s’mores

The campground was great and we really enjoyed paddle boarding up and down the river and hiking the trails. Campground host were very friendly and the site was clean. My only complaint is that several of the OHV RV folks ran their generators from 6:30am to 11pm pretty much non-stop.

Nice place. Easy to find. Spits are tight for a truck and 26' trailer. So, be mindful when you reserve a spot. There are bigger spots. We were surprised there was no dump station there, too. Would I stay again? Yes, but with some modifications.

Great camp ground. We stay here every year during our annual kayak trip down the siltcoos trail.
Clean spacious good restrooms. Great hiking trails and water access.

We reserved site 46 last minute online without being able to tell what the location was like. It was a tiny triangle of dry grass between two larger wooded RV sites. We were disappointed at first but since it was too late to find another campsite we made due. It turned out to be fine and we enjoyed our stay.

The design of the site made it challenging to level, especially after a long day of travel. We did make it up to the bluffs in the morning, and watched a family of otters, much to our delight.

There is a 14-day in 30 rolling days camping limit on the Siuslaw National Forest. The 14 days does not have to be consecutive. The 14-day limit covers the entire Siuslaw National Forest and not just this campground as shown in the Rules Section. This means you cannot go to other campgrounds on the Siuslaw National Forest after reaching the 14-day limit. |
