Campsite was spacious and very private. Bathrooms were clean. The campground was really quiet, even though it was filled up by the end of our stay. Overall, we were really happy with the location and condition of the site! Close to town and plenty of beaches. Only complaint would be the beach it's closest to is over a gigantic dune you have to walk up, which was not easy with a small child. The beach itself was great, but that one dune was a killer!

When we arrived we realized we had booked in a shared site, small fence between us and a huge trailer. No description of that in the booking notes. The park was practically empty but there was no host and nothing on any other site to indicate whether it was booked or not. I was really upset. We drove away until we could get cell service and were able to rebook another site, sight unseen again taking a chance, for the days we wanted, but we unable to cancel the original booking so paid twice . Not having any reservation info on the sites and no host around is really awful and no first come first serve sites is a disaster.

Fabulous campground. Stayed here twice this summer/fall. Love it. Campsites are great and the campground is clean and fairly quiet. Love the walk to the beach.

Generators. Generators. Generators. It’s impossible to enjoy any sort of peace in a campground these days. The sites are small so think twice about sharing a spot with friends. Oh and how I could I forget the incessant other sound - the ATVs on the Dunes. It’s really too bad because it could be a nice campground. The Forest Service really needs to designate areas for tents and areas for generator loving RVers.

Beautiful spot, quiet (a mile off the highway so no highway noise), lots of wildlife to watch, and trails to hike nearby.
Most campsites are very private.

Great campground right next to the Wax Myrtle trail to the beach. Lovely being there in the early mornings and late evenings. Only downside was the noise of the ATVs in the Dunes across from the river but this was only during the day.

We had a beautiful view of the Siltcoos River with easy access for our canoe at site 8. Clean restrooms!

One of our favorite places to camp on the coast. Close to the dunes!

The campsite was fairly clean and ready to go when we got there. There were some shrubs to provide some privacy.

There is a 14-day in 30 rolling days camping limit on the Siuslaw National Forest. The 14 days does not have to be consecutive. The 14-day limit covers the entire Siuslaw National Forest and not just this campground as shown in the Rules Section. This means you cannot go to other campgrounds on the Siuslaw National Forest after reaching the 14-day limit. |
