The campsite was very small with little privacy. Even though I could easily hear my campsite neighbors, it was surprisingly quiet at night. The bathroom was clean and the campsite didn’t have any debris from previous guests. I think if you’re only looking to stay at your campsite for a few hours and to sleep at, this site works fine. But if you like to relax and take in nature during the day at your site, look elsewhere.

We have a large (10x17) tent that we bring camping until we finally buckle down and buy ourselves a trailer. The two sites our friends and I got were supposed to be side-by-side according to the map, but it really was a small trail that we found through a hedge. The site we had originally chosen was too small for our tent, so we swapped with our friends who have an Aliner. Walking the campground, we noted a few sites that would be our first picks for next time, and others that were even smaller than the one we were staying on. Also, we had our kayaks and it worked to walk through a campsite across from us to access the river, but not after it was occupied. It would be nice to have a dedicated trail to the river NOT through a campsite.

We stayed in campsite 3 and launched our kayaks right from our camp. Great location and very clean.

Peaceful. Kayaked in the river. Walked to the beach. Almost all the other campers masked-up on trails which was nice to see.
Saw river otters this time!

Lovely campsite with shady ptiches. It was busy so we expected it to be noisy but it wasn't.
The beach is amazing and we even saw seals swimming in the surf.

Beautiful campground, but do be aware that the daytime / evening noise of off-road vehicles is significant. This also means that trails are not particularly suitable for hiking.

There is a 14-day in 30 rolling days camping limit on the Siuslaw National Forest. The 14 days does not have to be consecutive. The 14-day limit covers the entire Siuslaw National Forest and not just this campground as shown in the Rules Section. This means you cannot go to other campgrounds on the Siuslaw National Forest after reaching the 14-day limit. |
